Summer is finally here, and with it comes the promise of long, sunny days filled with endless possibility. Whether you're looking to tackle new challenges, create unforgettable memories, or simply enjoy the beauty of the season, there's no shortage of adventures to be had. That's why I have put together this guide of summer bucket list ideas. From exploring new destinations to trying new activities, we've got you covered with must-have experiences that are sure to make this summer your best one yet. So grab a pen and paper and get ready to start checking off those boxes - adventure awaits!


  1. Create a summer reading challenge for yourself. And actually finish it. Goodreads makes it really easy to set a reading goal and track your progress! It is free to join.

  2. Go on a small roadtrip and explore a nearby town for a day! Get lost with yourself and your camera and have fun playing tourist for the day.

  3. Go stargazing. On a clear night, lay out a blanket and gaze up at the stars.

  4. Have an outdoor movie night! Here are some supplies you may need.

  5. Attend an outdoor concert. Summer is the perfect time for all things outdoor music... concerts, festivals, fairs!

  6. Host a summer themed dinner party!

  7. Try your hand at flower arranging. I love going to Trader Joe's to get an assortment of affordable flowers.

  8. Take a sunset wine walk. You heard me. Put wine in a tumbler and take a walk around the neighborhood for sunset.

  9. Lay out by the pool or ocean with a good book. Here are a few of my recommendations!

  10. Have a bonfire and roast marshmallows.

  11. Attend a baseball game. Even if you aren't a huge baseball fan, it is a great excuse to put on a cute outfit, eat some yummy snacks, and get out of the house.

  12. Go to a wine tasting. There is a vineyard near me that is always having fun events like trivia.

  13. Host a summer themed backyard party.

  14. Explore a bookstore on a super hot day. The reality of summer is, some days are TOO hot to be outside. Cool off on one of the hotter days this summer by getting lost in a bookstore.

  15. Visit a farmer's market.

  16. Draw with chalk on the sidewalk. Heal your inner child by creating cute doodles outside.

  17. Host a board game night on the patio. Here are a few game ideas to get you started!

  18. Wake up to watch the sunrise. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy a mindful morning.

  19. Go Berry Picking.

  20. Try out a new hobby. Some ideas are pottery, painting, yoga, or starting a YouTube Channel.

  21. Make homemade lemonade or iced tea.

  22. Make a charcuterie board and watch a new TV Show.

  23. Go to a drive-in movie theatre.

  24. Visit a museum. This is another great one to do on a super hot summer day.

  25. Go mini golfing.

  26. Try a new workout class.

  27. Paint something. I think painting garden pots is a super cute summer paining craft.

  28. Start a garden.

  29. Make a summer vision board. Get on Pinterest, print out some photos, and get to work on your ideal aesthetic summer vision moodboard.

  30. Make a crazy ice cream sundae.

  31. Take yourself out on a date. Try a new restaurant you've been dying to try and sit on the patio with a cold drink and an appetizer.

  32. Take advantage of your PTO. Work should be a part of your life, not you whole life. Take advantage of your PTO days this summer.

  33. Create your signature cocktail of the summer.
